2 People Sitting at a Bus Stop Were Hit By Speeding Motorist and Killed on Detroit's West Side

Two people sitting at a bus stop were killed Friday night after a speeding driver crashed into them at Fenkell and Evergreen on Detroit's west side, Fox 2 reports. The driver has been arrested.

The crash occurred at 7 p.m. when a woman driving a gray SUV was speeding southbound on Evergreen, ran off the road, and crashed into the bus stop, according to Detroit Police and Fox 2.

The SUV then continued to a gas station and struck another vehicle parked at a gas pump, Fox 2 reports.

The two victims were a middle-aged man and woman, said DPD Cmdr. Ryan Connor.
